Stargazing Night

On March 26th, 2023, the students of Shining Star School in Peerumadara, along with their parents and teachers, participated in a stargazing program organized by the Antriksh Astronomy Club. The event was designed to introduce participants to the wonders of the universe and the different objects in it.

The program started with an introductory session, where participants were informed about the universe and its diverse objects, including the latest discoveries and mythological stories associated with heavenly objects. After this, the sky-gazing session began, and the first bright object that was visible in the sky was Venus. From there, the session became increasingly interesting, as the Moon and other stars started twinkling in the sky.

The highlight of the event was the Lunar and Planetary observation, during which students were guided by Rakesh Bisht, a scientist, and member of the Antriksh Astronomy Club. Through telescopes, the students were able to identify popular star constellations and observe the lunar and planetary objects.

Parents and teachers also participated in the event, taking advantage of the opportunity to gaze at the night sky with telescopes and binoculars. The event was a great success, and the students were able to gain a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the universe. The Antriksh Astronomy Club, which is involved in Astro-tourism and Space education, did a fantastic job organizing the event, and it is hoped that similar programs will be organized in the future to inspire the next generation of stargazers.
